Ugh, awful scan. There's a lot of delicate purple shading on the trees, as well as a clearly-defined moon! Thank God for local art stores having high quality scanning services.

Update: New scan!

The fourth and (perhaps) final backdrop illustration for the HAJET Hokkaido Players' production of The Jungle Book, scheduled for performance in May and June of this year. :D

Pencils, watercolors and Copic marker on cold-press paper.

The Jungle Book (c) Rudyard Kipling and the HHP.

I've looked through all of your images and love all of them, but this I think is my favorite. As I might have said before (my last comment seems to have disappeared), you should illustrate books :)

This makes me feel so serene. It has a lovely stylised look, yet the gentle lines really evoke that familiar sense of the beauty of nature. I love the cool, blue hues and the flowing intertwining of the many trees as they naturally part to reveal the moon. It's also very nice how soft you've made everything look, especially the grass and low bushes.

This is lovely, the purple tree tufts are so inviting, and I don't even have to mention the shrubbery. <3

The contrast between the soft washes and those clean, white trees is very striking. I'm in awe of your watercolour skills, as always :D

I think it still looks pretty. Love it. So much repetition making rhythm and movement in it.
